Chuck Berry goes Pink for Red Bull

I flew to Esperance last week for Red Bull to capture Chuck Berry flying with his wingsuit over Lake Hillier on Middle Island. It's a four hour drive by boat to Middle island from Esperance so the team woke up at 3.00am so we could start shooting early! The lake is incredible from up there in the chopper!! Such a contrast to the blue ocean and the land. Chuck is so fast, I had to use my three cameras with 24-70mm, 70-200mm and 300mm lens to keep up!! Bang, bang, bang one after the other... It's a hard shoot as you need to align yourself with the Rider and the pink lake so only when the three comes together that you have the shot while he is going down at incredible speed!!

After Shock!

What do you get when you mix a whole lot of Chop shop bikes and a paddock of dirt in York and plenty of revheads? A bloody good weekend!! There was even a Harley with a motocross front wheel doing drifting in the paddock!!! Hell Yeah!!!!

A change in landscape

December was the busiest time that Erick and I ever experienced and we got to work with some great people doing some great things and on the last day of all the madness, I got on a bus to travel with my family and the inlaws all the way to Hervey bay in Queensland then to Byron, Coffs, Hunter Valley, Blue Mountain, Barossa Valley, the Nullabor and back home. A three week stink that made me saw quite a bit of the country... My Pentax 6x7 broke half way through and I therefore relied on my iphone for the rest of the trip!! I never considered taking photos seriously with the iphone as i consider it a bit of a novelty for instagram or social media antics but this thing packs quite a punch with great resolution and photos that can be used!! The following photos are from the Nullabor leg of a changing landscape and colours!! Most taken on the mooving bus! It really blew my mind...

Happy New Year!!

Lose Yourself Somewhere Exhibition

O'Neill organized an exhibition a couple of weeks ago which we were part of. Five photographers from each state exhibiting what they perceived as " Lose Yourself Somewhere". Corona provided the beer, The rhum was flowing and O'Neill outdone themselves by looking after everything!! Thanks for everyone that came!! Here are a few snaps from it.

Thanks to Gavin Carvalho for the snaps!

Polaroid Honda

We got commissioned on a cool little project to take some photos of old bikes and make a little book out of it. The bikes are going to auction on Saturday and they wanted to keep a little memo of them. Here are few samples of those great bikes!
